I'm a little obsessed with Supergirl.
books
Here's a list of books I love, hate, didn't care enough about to finish, and books that are required reading in my classes. I'm not flying as much as I did last year, so I'm a bit behind on my reading.
If you have any good book suggestions, email me!
Favorite bookstores: Brazos in Houston, the Houston Jung Center bookstore, Book People (Austin) and BookWoman (Austin).

A book club pick. We all enjoyed it! It's a fun read with just enough mom-truth to make you wince every now and then. Great writing and insight. I also interviewed Katherine for my Inspiration Series. She's awesome!

I never stop reading this.

A book club pick. I loved it, but the group was split. I think it's a beautifully told story about the power of a secret.

A book club pick. Just amazing! Shut down your computer and go get it.

Required reading in a class I taught in 2007. I threw it against more than one wall. I don't agree with everything she writes, but it will challenge you to get clear on what you believe about love. Students loved it, hated it or both. No one was neutral.

I love me some Molly Ivins. I miss her and Ann Richards. A helluva lot.

Her work has been life-changing for me. One day I heard her say, "The opposite of faith is not doubt. The opposite of faith is certainty." I took it as a personal invitation to re-explore my spirituality. Things haven't been the same since.

Should be required reading for all Americans. And will be for my students.

Wonderful, life-changing book about money, value and life. I blogged about it here.
