a picture perfect labor day weekend
We painted our toes to celebrate the end of the first week of school. Ellen loves Elephantastic Pink and I'm always a sucker for 20 Candles on My Cake.

We took a family stroll . . .

And did a family trip to our favorite grocery store . . .

We celebrated the hatch chile pepper harvest . . .

and ate really good food all weekend!

Steve and I went out with Karen and Marcus on Saturday night. We shared smoked oysters and great conversation . . .

On Sunday, Steve, Ellen, Charlie and I went to a pool party and ate watermelon . . .

We also got out the raincoats and kept an eye on Gustavo . . .

I played around on photoshop and learned how to do this . . .

and this . . .

and, did I mention that I went to my favorite camera shop and actually traded in my old Rebel EOS300D for a new rockin' xsi? OMG! Did I mention it? Did I? My 50mm lens (the magic maker) wasn't working on my old camera, so you can imagine my joy when I popped it on and started snapping away. I'm so happy. It makes me smile! like this . . .
