remember when we did this?
Our perfect protest was the best EVER!
I just want y'all to know that it still brings me so much joy!
When I'm feeling fearful, I watch this video and read these - they make me smile. I watch Joy Tanksley's video response to our protest. Every comment, picture, and video makes me braver. They help me remember that I'm not alone!
I think it's time for another Wholehearted revolution. Stay tuned!

Thanks so much!
I so need to remind myself of the gifts of Perfection and let go of all the rest. Thank you Brene,
I am not perfect, but perfectly happy.
IT
It does go a bit fast, though. But I was fine by pausing frequently. Thanks!
Seeing this video yesterday totally helped get me out of the funk and anger I'd been feeling. Some of the work I'm doing centered around the Gifts of Imperfection is forever changing my life. Thank you!
Thanks Brene, I now can't get that damn ketchup commercial-song out of my head (Do you remember it?)....Anticipation, it's making me wait...it's keeping me waiting...Hurry or I will have to keep singing it and stop thinking about vulnerability...*wink*
Poor mother. She knew she wasn't perfect. Since she lived in an otherwise perfect family that must have been so difficult. She tried to make my sister and me be perfect too.
When I had a daughter I determined not to do that to her, and lo and behold, even though she wasn't and isn't perfect she gets closer than I did. She's a Critical Care Transport Paramedic. She was a Firefighter when she was in her early 20's, along with being an EMT. Now she has completed Police Academy in the top five in her class, in a contest divided by tenths of a point. She could do all that because she never was pushed to be perfect. She could make mistakes, try different things, fall and get up. If she'd had to be perfect maybe she'd have been the way I was...afraid to move or strive because I might not have been "good enough."
Or not.
Good idea though!
If you are looking for other "perfect" songs to use, try searching iTunes for Perfect by Zach from his What I Meant to Say album.
Brene, I saw you speak at the Ohio eTech conference and have just finished your book, The Gifts of Imperfection. Thanks for the role model and guideposts. I will work on embracing imperfection!
