But I also say this: that light
is an invitation
to happiness,
and that happiness,
when it’s done right,
is a kind of holiness,
palpable and redemptive.
"Poppies" in Blue Iris by Mary Oliver.
Much love and light to you this day, Brene!
Here are my fav quotes about light to share with you all:
"Better to light a candle than curse the darkness" - Chinese Proverb.
"We cannot hold a torch of light to another´s path without brightening our own" - Ben Sweetland.
"What is to give light must endure burning" - Viktor Frankl.
Love and light to you all!!!
I posted this one today:
"Faith is the bird that feels the Light when the dawn is still dark." ~ Rabindranath Tagore
And this one a couple days ago:
"I will love the light, for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars." ~ Og Mandino
Thank you for being such a courageous heart light in this world. Keep shining! :)
You light the fire by your Passion and beautiful energy. The LIGHT just shines in no matter what.
So, as you ignite, it ignites me to continue when I want to stop. To move through the difficulties, with lightheartedness and humor. What a wonderful spark the humor fires up a great reminder not to take ourselves too seriously. You do a superb job with that. I am glad to hear that you are an expert (or were) in catastrophizing...I used to create the most horrible newspaper headlines. Now I just make gratitude lists and I am out of there so fast.
I love how you relate to "us". You are slogging right in the middle of it with all of us and it makes me feel taller inside. Gratitude grows in that light and I am full, now I can smile and pass it on.
Thanks,
Helen
